Hi Cool Cucumbers,
We hope everyone had a great summer gardening and we are looking forward to hearing about what you are growing this year.
We got back from our Easter holiday and wow our garden has grown. Our tomato plant has fallen onto our lettuce plant and we are worried that it is going to kill our lettuce. So, we staked our tomato plant to support it and to help it grow. The plants are doing good. Our zucchini and cucumber plants are getting really big. They have gigantic leaves. Stay posted for some amazing new pictures of our garden.
In bad news, we have lost our sunflowers. Their stems broke as they got too tall and we didn’t stake them up. They died and we pulled them out. Oh so sad!!!!!

We started a grow chart on our plants. It is really cool and the sunflower is the tallest. The zuchanni is 15 cm. and the sunflower is 18 cm. tall. The radish is 8 cms.tall. The pea is 15 cm. tall. The purple carrot is 4 cm. tall. That is all for today.
Bye from Grade 2/3 in Delisle
Hi Everyone,
Our garden is up and running. We planted our plants in the bags of dirt yesterday. This was very exciting. We have noticed that some of our plants are really delicate and they are leaning over and their leaves are droopy. Other plants have white leaves on them. Does anyone know why this is happening? We are going to water these plants, use popsicle sticks to support them, and give them lots of love. Lots of plants are really tall. some of the plants have started to grow lots of leaves. We have noticed that some of our leaves and stems are fuzzy. We have been breathing on our plants to give them lots of carbon dioxide. We are also giving them lots of space to grow and sending them good thoughts.

Hi everyone,
We started planting about two weeks ago and things are really starting to happen! We turned the light on this past Monday (January 26th) and it has been fun this week watching things change. Our beets, peas and radishes were the first to sprout. It was very exciting measuring, drawing, and talking about the first plants. The week has ended and pretty much every peat pot has something happening in it! We had a great lesson the other day on the stages of plant growth (seed, sprout, and plant). It was nice to be able to pull examples from the garden so that everyone could see these changes. We are loving our garden!
